What we treat
Sciatic issues
Pain, pins and needles or numbness travelling into the leg can have several causes. Careful assessment identifies where the irritation is coming from.
Sciatica describes pain that travels along the path of the sciatic nerve — from the lower back, through the hip and buttock, and down the leg. It can range from a mild ache to sharp, shooting pain, sometimes with pins and needles or numbness.
The irritation can come from several sources, including the lower back, pelvis or the deep muscles of the hip. That's why a thorough assessment matters: treating the leg alone rarely resolves the problem.
Common signs we see
- Pain radiating from the lower back or buttock down the leg
- Pins and needles, tingling or numbness in the leg or foot
- Pain that worsens with sitting, bending or prolonged positions
- Weakness or heaviness in the affected leg
How we approach sciatic issues
We assess the lower back, pelvis and hips to identify where the nerve irritation is coming from, then tailor hands-on treatment to settle it.
Alongside treatment, we give you practical movement and lifestyle guidance — including positions and exercises to reduce irritation and support lasting improvement.
