Dr. Edward Murphy Brown is a highly qualified and experienced VU registered osteopath who completed his studies in Melbourne in 2019 before moving to Brisbane to pursue a career in osteopathy. With a passion for health and an inherited understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Murphy Brown has embarked on a personal treatment and healing journey through Herbs on the Hill. Combining his knowledge of osteopathy and naturopathy, he provides patients with holistic manual therapy that aims to provide the best possible health outcomes.

Dr. Murphy Brown’s personal interests primarily involve sport, and he has a background in semi-professional soccer for over a decade. His passion for osteopathy and sport is unparalleled, and he enjoys treating athletes of all abilities and disciplines. Using his skills and understanding of human biomechanics, Dr. Murphy Brown is able to help his patients achieve their greatest potential outcomes and overall success. He treats a wide range of complaints, including headaches, general sprains and strains, repetitive strain injuries, whiplash-related issues, pregnancy-related back and joint issues, postural issues, and tendon pathologies that are commonly related to his patients’ work, hobbies, or lifestyle influences.

Dr. Murphy Brown enjoys seeing a wide variety of patient demographics and conditions, with a view of continued movement and structured exercise being the key to achieving the best results for his patients after a consult and for the future. His treatment techniques are primarily direct, with the goal of restoring optimum biomechanics and functionality to alleviate his patients’ symptoms. During a consult, Dr. Murphy Brown will take general questions about your complaint and medical/lifestyle history followed by a thorough musculoskeletal examination, then treatment including, if necessary, massage, gentle articulation, Muscle energy technique (a form of active stretching), HVLA manipulation, Counterstain (an indirect functional myofascial release technique), dry needling, taping if required, and a specific tailored exercise strategy to speed up your recovery and address your symptoms.

Dr Andrei Mihaesi is an enthusiastic and energetic practitioner that enjoys treating a variety of physical conditions from repetitive strain and biomechanical injuries to long term postural correction. He is especially interested in treating hips and shoulders. He has had lots of experience treating office workers, tradespeople and athletes. He strongly believes in rehabilitation exercises and believes in addressing not just one’s body but their lifestyle as a whole. Nutrition and supplementation is another area in which Andrei has lots of interest and is actively researching.   Andrei can often be found training at the gym, travelling or finding new trails to hike around Queensland. He is registered with AHPRA and is accredited with Masters in Osteopathy.
